"Cambridge Carnival International is a grassroots, volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to celebrating and showcasing the cultural diversity of Cambridge through the arts, with a strong emphasis on Caribbean and African heritage. For over 30 years, we have hosted the city’s largest outdoor multicultural festival, providing free, accessible programming that platforms local artists, fosters community connection, and amplifies historically excluded voices. The theme of this year's festival is "The Cultural Revolution Starts Here and Never Ends."
The festival features a rich lineup of musicians, storytellers, dancers, and cultural performers, offering a platform to both emerging and established talent. Our spectacular grand costume parade showcases the artistry of masqueraders and costume designers, whose handmade creations bring heritage and storytelling to life while inviting community participation in the creative process.
Guided by our slogan, “By the People, For the People,” Cambridge Carnival International is built by the community it serves. Its work centers on amplifying the voices of artists, empowering youth, and ensuring that the cultural fabric of Cambridge reflects the diversity, creativity, and resilience of its people."
